So, that's at least three of us who are missing voice mail notifications on AT&T. Anybody on any other carrier having this problem?

Anybody willing to guess what's going wrong here?

As described in all the latest OS upgrades, you must remove the Visual Voice Mail application if you need to see the old Voice Mal indication. CrackUtil will do it, or you can edit the .alx file to make the vvm files non-required and then remove with the desktop manager.

I hadn't noticed discussion of that before, but you are spot on. Used crackmem to remove vvm, and my regular notifications are back. Thanks!

Yes visual voicemail is blocking it. You have to remove the vvm cods manually and run app loader. I am sure there are other threads on this.

I've since reinstalled my PC, so I don't have the files on it anymore, can I remove Visual voicemail from the phone applications menu in advanced options or something?

Nope. It's gotta be done via the pc when loading or re-loading the OS.

Hello everyone, I'm new in your forum and a new BB user and just so you all know I am not afraid to try new stuff on my phone and I am hoping someone can help me with the following.

If i have the following installed on my Bold:
Platform: 4.0.0.155
Application version: 4.6.0.162
Carrier: Rogers (canada)

Can I update to the version listed in this thread? If the answer is yes will this affect my Rogers account settings on my phone, and if it will affect the settings how can i put the setting back to the ones required by rogers (for example my SMS, email, voicemail, etc. etc.

and has anyone from Rogers updated their phone with the 4.6.0.244 version that can give me some feedback.

I appreciate any help or input you can give me.

Thanks

If you follow the 3 steps exactly how they are, so you will have no problem. Also there is a newer OS .247 . the .244 has a bug with the pics and cannot be seen through the pc.

Thanks for your reply, I will look for the .247 OS and try it. Hopefully it runs smoothly.

I am on Rogers and have upgraded many times from .162 without a problem. I am currently using .244 and am not experiencing the bug reported here.
As my e-mails, contacts etc. are syncornized with a corporate server (BES) I follow the steps indicated above except I use desktop manager 4.6 instead of launcher.exe to upgrade, using my work computer on the work network. I have found that in so doing I get re-inialized on the BES server without having to bother the IT people.

What exactly is the bug? I don't think I have it. All my pics are on my micro sd card and do not have any problem seeing them on my pc. If it is a problem reading pics on the Blackberry memory, then it may not effect me.

the pictures are being saved as .jpg.rem

if you send the pic by mail, there is no problem, but if you passed through the desktop manager, the picture cannot be seen.

Ha, I see that. I will try to find another carrier with OS .244 to adjust the link above.

For now, you can get the beta version of the same OS, here:

You are welcome, and I have now edited and updated the initial post with links to an official download of .244 from Taiwan Mobile.
