Default Anything Coming w/ GPS/WIFI/3G ?

Please Login to Remove!

Is there any BBerry coming that has 3G, wifi, and GPS?

Looking to go to T-Mobile, so also looking for UMA... I really want all of those features on a Pearl, but Curve would be fine... Anything planned that I might have missed in the forums?

Thanks

hmmm yeah, i actually always wondered why they never integrated 3G in models higher then the 8707. or does it cost so much more to make a blackberry with 3G? (i find the 8707 rather expensive compared to the 8800....)

If you have T-Mobile, the Curve has UMA. I'm not sure if this is unique to T-Mobile...

Given that AT&T has announced major expansion (1200 new towers) of HSDPA this year, I think they are working hard to avoid WiFi or WiMax support for their phones - want to keep you on the mother leash and revenue stream (although, having tasted good 3G service in San Antonio, the old home of Cingular, 800kbs service pretty much eliminates the need for WiFi).

BlackBerry 9000 will have GPS, Wi-Fi, and HSDPA/UMTS. It will likely NOT be supported on T-Mobile's 3G network (whenever it actually starts seeing the light of day).

Wimax isnt aimed at phones. Sprint is pushing it in an attempt to be an isp. Wimax will find a place in laptops, desktop modems, UMPCs, camera etc. You will even see it used as a backhaul connection to link remote cell sites to Sprint's network.

It is a seperate network distinct from Sprint's current CDMA/IDEN and future 4g networks.

It is highly likely that Sprint will join AT&T and Verizon in using LTE as a next gen network replacing their CDMA/IDEN network.

I am glad AT&T is finally putting money into 3g again. It seemed like they hit the pause button in 2007.
