Hi there guys ..
am the user of bb 9780 bold 3 model .. as i heard the news about bb7 i tried o download .. is gives me error ( ur device is not support )
later i find that bb7 isn't relise for India yet.
as mine of my friends using it in India .. there i find that its because there handset is not Indian
My doubt is is there any way to dl and install in my mobile thx
can any one provide me the setup of bb7

OS7 is only available on models that are released with it. It isn't available for the 9780.

I am from India, though I could not make calls through wifi for some unknown reason. However you can get BBM7 on any blackberry supporting OS6,7 & 7.1 from Blackberry Beta Zone (registered address should be outside India)

Visit the page Blackberry.com and start downloading the device software BB7 in your computer. Connect the phone to the computer when it is required. The device software will update it automatically.

No. You cannot put OS 7 on a 9780.

my Q is how to dl bb7 not the OS
and it is available for 9780 .. as i told u guys before also my friend is suing 9700 he had download bb7 on his mobile .. as his handset is not india he got it from UK

What exactly are you trying to download? BB7 is the OS. It won't run, can't run on a 9700. No way.

Perhaps you mean Blackberry Messenger - BBM7?

Arbaaz, if BBM, or version 7 of BBM, is not surported by your service provider or not supported in your country I don't know what you can do. I don't think there is anything your can do so long as your situation is one where the app is not supported.

You also said BBM version 7 isn't relased for India. I don't know if that is the case or not. You say it is the case. Whether it is supported on your model is beside the point if you cannnot install it on your model on your carrier or in your country.

I have not done a point by point comparison, but the countries which require RIM to provide access to in-country BIS servers to support lawful access seem to be the ones where BBM 7 is not available. I suspect you will have to wait until the servers can provide that access to the voice protocol and your government approves it.

I doubt that BBM 7 would work for you even if you did get it installed since it seems reasonable to assume your in-country server would not have support for the voice protocol built in yet.
