Default i just got the TOUR and this is my first bb. i LOVE this thing but i had a few ?s...

Please Login to Remove!

1) ive set up my email accounts so that anytime i receive an email it automatically notifies me on my BB. however, whenever i am using my computer and i send out an email it ALSO shows up on my bb. why is that?! if its an outgoing email why would a copy go directly to my bb?

2) is there anyway to turn off all of the internet functions WITHOUT turning off the telephone function? the reason i ask this is because whenever i am in the office and i sign into my gchat and my aim i would rather just deal with all of those messages on my computer screen. i would rather not have to go into my bb and delete every incoming message that i received while i was working from my office.

thanks in advance!!!

1) Sounds like the gMail glitch. Are you using gMail? If so, use the search function to find a thread on how to deal with this.

2) Options > Mobile Network > Data Services [Off]

thanks so much!

i will do a search for the gmail glitch.

and as for turning data services off... i just wanted to confirm that i WILL still receive calls though right? it only turns off the internet function, not the phone calling functions right?

THANKS AGAIN!!!

Under options in your Mail Icon, Choose General Options and then look for Hide Sent Messages and choose Yes.....

hope this helps the first question.

I believe you should be able to select them all and then choose the Menu key and choose Mark as Read...

Press T to go to the top, press the menu key to the left of the trackball, select mark prior open.

hmmm... i just changed the settings for my email and its STILL showing the sent messages.

i think i saw somewhere that i have to get a special email notifier app for gmail.

as of right now, all of my accounts are linked into my BB via the BB email software.

i have 2 gmails, 1 yahoo, 1 alumni account and 1 work account.
