Hi we are having problems with a scary chain message on my daughters phone. She received it via BBm a while ago and was very very upset ans scared and person purported to have sent it said they didn't knowingly forward it. Now the same thing has happened only it's my daughter having forwarded it on to someone else. They are really causing problems. What happens when you receive a broadcast? Could it be forwarded to all your contacts etc can BBm be 'bounced' from one phone to another? How can we stop these nasty messages? Please help I would be very very grateful x x

Not much you can do except to ignore and delete those who send Broadcast Messages. Those messages very rarely contain any reliable information and they are like chain letters or e-mail spam.

No, these messages cannot just go about sending themselves to other people on your contact list. If the device your daughter uses is the one that sent a message, then either your daughter sent it, or she lent her phone to someone who did. The same rule applies to those who are sending them to your daughter's device.
