Im having some trouble getting google maps to load properly on my BB Curve 8310 w/GPS.
Ive downloaded it and it works, it is able to find my location, but there are no maps in the background...just a dot indicating my location!!
Not sure why??? Any ideas???

Did you edit the permissions to allow it to use your GPS? Can you map someone in your address book and see the map?

yes i have everything set up as "ALLOW".

restart your phone. it sounds like an issue with your data connection.

just Downloaded google maps...for my location...it seems to be off...do they go my cell phone towers or something?? Sorry im a noob to the Blackberry world!

If google maps cannot find your gps, it will use cell tower triangulation to locate you within xxxxxx meters. With gps, it will usually be 3 meters.

Yup. You need to pay for VZNav if you want to use your GPS receiver at all.

If you are in china,you may only find the main roads.And when you did not zoom properly,you may see nothing in your screen!
