Default GPS tracking?

so i have a BB 8310 and I was woundering if the GPS unit on it updates enough for accurate Location tracking. Basicly I am a big biker and i want to use my BB as a distance and speed thingy.. I would like to know some names of good programs for this and whether or not a blackberry is a good idea for this

The GPS available to the public is only guaranteed to be accurate to within 50 feet, but that should be close enough for your purpose.

Do a search for GPS in the forum postings. You'll find some good free ones, and there is at least one commercial one that will track speed, distance, etc. I can't remember what it's called; I'm sure someone else here will.

My 8310 GPS is quite accurate, usually with 20 feet.
Look at the list in the Sicky Notes of all known GPS Applications.
