Where is version 4.6.0.292??? That does not exist for the 8320...

That's a 9000 (Bold) OS.

Well, then how is it that I have that file (9000M_PBr4.6.0_rel292_PL4.0.0.155_A4.6.0.162_CSL. exe) saved on my desktop? Answer that one. (lol)

The first part of the filename answers your question. It's the Bold (9000) OS. Not for the Curve.

And just to elaborate on the previous correct answer... you can't install ANY handheld OS on your 8320 using Mac OSX.
Even when you get the OS made for the 8320, you'll need a Windows machine to upgrade your BlackBerry.

Version 4.5 has a wireless upgrade facility - this might be a solution for future upgrades for non Windows users

Wireless Updates have not been enabled on RIMs infrastructure.

I'm a Mac user with Windows XP installed via Parallels. This should work... I'll let you know soon as I'm preparing to try it later today.

Parallels had some issues with Desktop Manager in the beginning, but they should be resolved now, and I'd imagine it will work fine.
I use VMware Fusion with no problems at all.

FWIW, you have OS 4.6.0.162, and not 4.6.0.292.

No matter what operating system you run, you can not load a BOLD OS onto a Curve.

I'm NJBlackBerry, and I'm a PC.

Default Install 4.6.0.292 to Bold on Mac OSX 10.5

...so back to the task. How does one install 4.6.0.292 on a Bold using a MacBook Pro running OSX 10.5.6? No bootcamp. No Windows. All Mac.

I'm new to Blackberry and my Bold is currently running 4.6.0.162 and it is buggy!

Any ideas.

Cheers,
Tim
