Exclamation Help! Bb-8320

Please Login to Remove!

It's brand new, I set up everything with the setup wizard.
Let it charge for a while, then tried to set up the WiFi.
After typing in the password for the connection, it just went blank.
White screen with the hourglass, constantly turning off and on by itself.
When it turns on a "Verifying Security Software" screen pops up it loads 89% and just shuts off & does it all over again. Over and over again with the verifying security software. I took out the battery and left it out for a few minutes & it doesnt change anything. I dont have a memory card, nor have i installed any third party applications.

Try reinstalling the OS. If you can catch it at the right point in the cycle, Desktop Manager will recognize the device and install the OS. It might take a lot of attempts.

If that fails, you'll have to wipe the device using jl_cmdr and then reinstall the OS.

The router may be one of the few that don't interact well with the Curve, but likely there was some problem with the OS. Or perhaps the device itself.

Default Fixing Wi-Fi problem

Hi, this happened to me, what i did is go far from where the wi-fi coverage or turn of the wi-fi network of you house, and the magically it will work without turning on and off. So just don´t be around any wi-fi hotspots and then try to set up the network again

Best bet is to get it replaced, not worth the hassle if its not working out of the box... my suggestion.

Some routers cause these problems, so even with the new phone, you'll probably have to upgrade the OS and/or do something about the router.

Types of routers that seemed to cause problems, at least on 4.2, were N routers, Fios Actiontec, some Belkins.

4.2.2.184 was a much better OS for UMA. I believe Tmobile stock OS is .180. The 4.5 versions seem to be more stable on N routers and others.
