Cool OS 8310 4.5.0.55 - very disappointing

After running on OS 8310 4.5.0.69 for a couple a weeks i tought downgrading to an "official stable release" would be a good idea. But i've been teached something something else.
I've first tried the Wind Italy release, then the Vodafone Germany release and had the identical problems. There seems to be an issue with the GPS library. Nav4All leaded me around the block and the new Google Mobile App did not even install at all. I received the error "Google Mobile App is not running on this Blackberry Curve 8310".
Funny eh? So i presume the time between the delivery from RIM to the partners is too short to test the software, it's rather a race to implement proprietary configuration in the generic package and "throw" it back on the market, possibly faster than the competition.
If that's really the case, then one should give a reason not to stick with "beta" versions, that apparently seem better tested, before they get screwed up by the vendor.
Correct me if i'm wrong.

Both of the issues you describe are not issues with the OS. Just because .69 hasn't been released doesn't mean it's not stable. Every version after .37 has gotten progressively more stable. They just haven't all been released yet. If you found it, I'd install it.

i was expecting an official release by a vendor to be more stable, regardless the number of the release. I beleave you can't generally say that every new release is more stable than the previous, this is the reason why major companies are always behind the actual version.
Eg. apache How long did it take the ISP's to switch to Apache 2? A couple of years?

I have used EVERY version of 4.5/4.3.1 that has come out. That has been my experience. I have seen it go from almost unusable to very stable. I've seen and tested many versions, some of which have never even been posted about.

Agreed, on the 8310, mine, each progressive release has been more stable.
