My address book went from 953 records to 1842, then 2698, and now 4123.
Initially i thought i was having a problem with google sync so i unistalled, i also deleted my email address thinking it was a setting in the sync feature of each of them, anyway, in the end my problem is the at&t addressbook sync which i cannot get rid off.
Has anyone encountered the same problem? is there a way to delete that?
I called at&t and they said i had to wipe my BB which i did but they said all they could do was deactivate it on the end but the phone might sync again to their addressbook. Is that even legal?
They did say that even if you uncheck the "sync wirelessly" box it might, at some point, be automatically checked when you upgrade software or if they did something to their software.
Doesn't even ask does it? I watched an upgrade where the address book was made the only address book and synched with att even though wireless synch was not checked and the owner did nothing but watch. This person doesn't have a log in with ATT so now they have to go through the hassle of creating all that just to correct att intrusiveness.
It snuck past me when I did the 600 update, so maybe it doesn't now. Fortunately I noticed it immediately and clicked cancel before any damage was done.
