Default Removing a Menu Item - 7100t

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone!

I purchased a 7100t because my Sidekick2 died on me and I decided to try something more in the business class field of handheld devices.

The device seems great so, but I have a couple of issues that I was wondering if someone could help me with:

1) How do I remove the Enterprise Activation menu item. I am currently not using it and don't know if I ever will.

2) The phone always vibrates twice and then starts ringing when a call comes in, how do I get it to just ring instead of going through the initial 2 vibrations.

3) What should I be careful of with this device, I have seen some horror stories on this forum about the 7100t and I am trying to avoid them.

4) Can anyone recommend a good SSH client that supports V2.

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

1) Scroll to the option. Press the shift key (left hand bottom row) and click the trackwheel at the same time. A menu will appear. You can now "hide" the icon.

2) Locate the "Profiles" option. You can change the profile for an incoming call to just ring. Note that there are two settings for each option; "In Holster" and "Out of Holster"

3) We've had no problems with the 7100s; others have had them.

4) Check out Idokorro mobile SSH

Great, thanks for your help, I appreciate it.

One other question, in Profiles, there is a setting for "Messages" and one for "Level 1 Messages". What is the difference between the two, what are level 1 messages?

Thanks,

Please do a search on "Level 1" - there are several (good) threads explaining Level 1.
They explain it better than I could
