Invited status effectively means you have a new / updated meeting request. This is so a user can review changes and then make a decision to keep / change their decision on whether or not they want the meeting still.

So do you think that would be the issue as I described above? She does receive the meeting update emails as normal. Thanks for the help.

Possibly? I honestly can't confirm one way or another as I've not seen the problem personally.
