Why should we have to go to such lengths to make our existing hardware work with your service? You want us to buy your official 8330 when we already have ours. I would be totally willing to pay the extra $10 a month, I don't think that's the issue. I would like to see Boost reach out to the thousands of BB users that simply want to use their existing handsets. I think that would be a big win for everyone and would drive a ton more customers to Boost. It's sad that Boost is trying to make a buck and move outdated inventory and causing us to go around them in the long run anyway.

Boost 8330 vs Nextel 8350
I find it ridiculous that Boost is trying to make us purchase out of date Sprint Blackberry 8330 phones cause they had sucha huge surplus when there are thousands of us out here with Nextel 8350i alreaady using them on Boost. Also why pay $60 a month for the 8330 and not even get the PTT when you can pay 50 still on the 8350 and still use the PTT. Why dont they just support both models and charge us all $60 which I wouldnt mind tin order to be able to use all the apps instead of only most of the apps that I use on my 8350i.

boostmobile, boostmobile, boostmobile... :&
my official blackberry for boost mobile is very slow. And when I first got it, the phone's memory is only like 18mb. On top of that, I had to download facebook a couple times, because it freezes, and then made a zap sound, and now I'm (in the red) for memory. What's the software version for storing applications on a micro sd card? and can i do that with this phone, and where can I get it?
This is my first blackberry, and I'm not impressed. I have been with boost for years. A plain old phone seems faster than this is. If I don't get some help soon, I'm returning it, cancelling boost, and just getting something else. Boost is ridiculous for not comin out with a good phone.

First of all, your problem with the phone sounds like it has nothing to do with the Boost Mobile service. If you hear a ZAP sound, that, I believe, may be a hardware issue. So before you "jump the gun" and hate on Blackberry and Boost, try exchanging the phone (if, that is, you bought an insurance package for it). But I have one, and it is a very good phone.

I just bought the Boost Mobile BlackBerry curve 8330 ( March 3rd) I do believe it has a one year warranty.
Either way I love this BlackBerry & it is more then fast enought for me & have no problems with calls, text or web.

Will our existing Sprint Curve 8330 phones be supported on Boost Mobile now that Boost supports the BB Curve 8330? Boost is promoting being green by offering the Starter Kit for the iDEN phones. It would seem logical that Boost would promote being green by offering support for used Sprint CDMA phones like the Curve.

hi, i have an 8330 that, came from sprint and it is working on boost, but with limited features. i've noticed that some people have one in full working order and i was wondering if smeone could help me configure mine. i realize that is is asking a lot but i really would like mine to work. i mean i have a blackberry with out browser and mms, so whats the point. i have tried downloading and installing some service books i think i am doing it right, but it won't work is it possible that the service books expire? i understand if you can't help and thank you for your time.

You have IDEN service now, the 8330 is CDMA. You have to ask Boost to "migrate" your account from IDEN to CDMA. Tell the CSRyou have the ESN for the new phone. Give them the 8330 ESN. If they ask what the model of the phone is, say "it is a motorola something, a C290". Once the esn has been entered, the CSR will know what kind of phone it is, and usually continues ahead with the the procedure. Sometimes the CSR will not continue, just thank them, hang up and call back for another rep. When they give you the programming info, write it down in case you need it later. I usually call after 9:00PM eastern time to switch in Sprint phones to Boost, there just seems to less scrutiny then.
Most important, when entering the 6 digit MSL to program the phone enter it without the trailing # and press the green phone key to go to the programing mode. You will also have to load modified service books for your BB Browser and MMS to work, they can be found here 8330 & 9630 - MMS Fix for Sprint Blackberry Phones on Boost Mobile. Good luck.

when you try to punch i code in what exactly is happening? try pressing ##40175# and then the green talk button, if that doesnt work try##40175 and just the green button, it should go to a screen that says view edit or done! if tht doesnt work, then you have the wrong msl code.

How can I change the MDIS number on a blackberry?

since your on a iden network, a network change has to be done which means only boost can do that, if you were already on the cdma network basically a phone swap needs to be done& you dont need boost for that as long as you know the msl code and know how to program the phone, email me and i will help you out.
