I decided to try upgrade to this version again last night, and have not been seeing the slowdown issues I noticed after my first attempt.

Not sure that I see any noticeable speed improvements, but everything seems to be working as expected. With all the download issues people seem to have been running across, not sure if it's really worth most people upgrading to this version if they're on a relatively recent release of 4.5.

I upgraded right after the new OS came out. The only problem (for lack of better words) is that every time I get a message (text or email) in the message folder, the BB automatically unlocks the screen. I normally lock the BB my holding the mute button. I haven't decided if this is an issue to me or not. To date it hasn't caused a problem, however I can see me calling someone by accident if I don't immediately check the message and re-lock the phone.

Anyone else had this happen yet?

If you hold down the mute button, you're putting the device in standby mode. To test out your scenario, I put my BB in standby mode and sent myself to my BES account from the computer.

My BB is still in standby mode, and I have my red message waiting light flashing (normal operation). So no problems here.

Hmmm... well I am on BIS if that matters. I guess I misspoke when I said "locked" but I guess technically it is in "standby" mode. Well I guess this might be a localized problem or possibly a setting that was added with the OS upgrade. I'm not necessarily complaining but it is different. One other thing I have noticed. I have my notification set to vibrate then ring. Once I get a message, the standby is "removed" but continues to vibrate / ring until I hit a button. In the past the roller ball (rolling not clicking) didn't stop the notification, but now it does. That is actually kind of nice.

Thanks Hokie for checking.

I'm getting the same thing. Redownloading now to see if that helps.

After redownloading it the install and upgrade went fine.

FYI, i had to activate my phone on the BES again. I'm not sure if anyone else has had the same issue.

You will always have to activate BES after upgrading your software. After each upgrade, I simply connect Desktop Manager to my Outlook profile, and activation is done automatically (no need to contact IT for new activation code).

The last 2 times I upgraded the enterprise activated picked up on it's own after the upgrade. The good thing is that I am IT so didn't have to contact anyone.

I did the update for a friend's 8310 on my laptop. She is not getting her emails pushed. When she uses her email setup it errors out that it can't connect. She is on a personal BIS plan. I deleted the vendor file. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Do any of these blackberry servers have the downloads that include the preloaded wallpaper/images included? It's been a while since I've seen those included, I just loaded the "official" AT&T (v4.5.0.110) thinking they'd include the "preloaded files" but not there! Is that something they won't be doing any longer with these updates to the OS?

BB maps is not supported by AT&T anymore on 4.5 OS. It's a service book that doesn't get pushed down.
