I have 8320 from T-mobile running default 4.2.2 OS. I downloaded BB Maps from RIM support website but the problem is I cannot get to load the maps. Each time I open bbmaps it will show me the diagonal lines.
Does any one of you know how to load maps onto bb 8320. I do not have data connection and I do not intend to buy a BT GPS receiver. Is there a way I can just navigate maps ?
Also good maps is not working for some reason. I dont know if it any of these is suppose to work.
Google maps is a good alternative for this. Also, you should be able to upload bb maps, without a data plan from the desktop manager, ill look for it and get back to you. see below:
Sorry, here is another newbie question.
Is BB Maps free, or does it charge as data charges when using to search around in BB maps?
Or, let's say for example i activate WiFi in an area that allows me to, using BB maps then should be free... right??
Im using an unlocked 8320 on Rogers in Canada. No data plan, but is allowing me to search the map and get directions but with no data plan
Apparently there are couple of options for those who do not want to pay for dataplan and want to use maps. Trekbuddy and Mobile gmaps (not google maps). A simple search on Trekbuddy should yield results that are more helpful.
