Default What the?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey there...
New to the BB world.
I have a few questions if anyone could help me out.

1) How do I send a picture to another phone? (it seems this 'function' isn't enabled)
2) After I save or edit a phone number, the phone freezes on the save screen for 5 or more minutes?
3) is there anyway of increasing the size of the picture when someone calls? It's just an ity bity thing on the left side?

thanks so much

1. Go to the picture you have just taken in your MEDIA section. Then when the picture is either highlighted or selected click on the BLACKBERRY button (to the right of the green phone sign) .. and scroll down to 'Send as MMS'

2. Pull the Battery while the phone is on .. then see if that problem persists.

3. I have seen pictures that facebook imports that are rather larger then the normal pictures you assign to people. There is no function to make them bigger though :(

Also, the Search Feature on the top of the forums almost always can solve any problem. Its like a magic 8 ball .. i swear .. throw in your problem .. it shakes it up .. and sometimes you have an answer ..

Welcome to the forums!
1. Do you have a Blackberry data package form your carrier? You will need this to send or recive picture messages.
2. Try pulling the battery for about 30 seconds with the device powered on. Then try another save, and see if it is any quicker.
3. There are third party apps that will increase the pic size for your incoming calls. Check out the BlackBerryAPPS Store and the Aftermarket Software section for ideas. I have included links:

1) You need to have MMS service books, or a BlackBerry data plan. Otherwise you won't have the ability to send MMS or attach the image to send it as an email.

2) As stated above, try removing the battery.

3) I believe this could be theme controlled. Try looking at different themes and see if that helps.

1. Ok, I removed the battery when the phone was on... it rebooted and fixed the 'delay' problem.

2. When I highlite a picture and then try and send it... it only gives me the option to 'Send as email' or 'Send using Blue Tooth'... then gives me an error 'No message services configured. You will only be able to save to draft'
I guess this means I don't have a data package?
I can surf the net, text and send/recieve emails, etc?

The file size for pictures is limited to 128k... anything bigger it limits the area with a crop box.
Any help again would be appreciated.. All help given is thanked...

No, you won't be able to e-mail, SMS, IM, etc. without a BlackBerry data package. I would suggest giving your carrier a call to verify what they show on your account. If you don't have a dtat package, explain to them what functions you want to use with your BlackBerry, they can quote you package prices per month.

I believe your problem is with your carrier. As far as I know Telus doesn't support MMS messages with their BlackBerry plans.

I talked to a rep that told me the function I want is not supported.
If I want to send a picture I must:
1) highlite picture
2) choose: send as email
3) punch in (seven digit phone number @bell mobility.com(eg.))
4) they will recieve a link to go retrieve the picture...
Does that seem dumb to anyone else?
thanks for all the help...
