Just upgraded to this and I am getting the "today screen font bug". Was there a fix for this or was it just chalked up to being a bug?

I can now confirm 244 & 247 have the same 3G issues (data connection loss, switching to EDGE when signal is poor). In 2G only mode, no problems. Furthemore the 3G acquisition is taking a long time (between 10 to 20 seconds), compared to 221 where it takes less than 5 seconds.
247 = 244 - the .rem bug
I am rolling back (unfortunately) to 221 which was stable, fast and had good 3G.

I am considering rolling back as well, but I was on .190, and I don't know if I want to go that far back, are there better ones to consider between .190 and .244/247?

I am on ATT. I upgraded to .247 and like you, I also now have the icon for visual voice mail but am getting the exact same message! Is that just because neither ATT or T-Mobile have introduced visual vmail - or is it a problem with my Bold? If so, I could take it into the ATT store to fix. Has anyone else got visual vmail to work?

Visual Voicemail has not been provisoned (activated) by At&T yet, which is why it doesn't work.

Yup, i have no problems myself using this setup as i hardly use 3G to save battery life, which now gives me two days of full use. I can probably push it to 3 days if i wanted to.

uptowngirl, you need to edit the bb_vvm or something like that alx file and change it's value to false and not true, then goto add remove apps from the phone and remove the check mark besides visual voicemail, then your regular voicemail will work again.

I have been on 244 for about a week. I keep it on 3G only and find it is about as good or better than earlier OSs for locking in on 3G. I take the subway to work which has occasional open spaces and it will lock in fast to 3G immediately on getting to an uncovered section, if not before leaving the tunnel. I am keeping this one.

I am now back on 221, and have absolutely no more issues.

AHAHHAHAHA I think it's the second one. But your first point is very valid. I sit here and comtemplate the same thing...

Default Bluetooth fix

What is the main difference between .244 and .247?

I have been happy with my bold since i bought it back in November except for one single bug: My Car Kit HF850 kept disconnecting once in a while:

When I used voice dialing, the bluetooth icon disappeared for one second and come back again once the phone started dialing..... well.... Once in a while, the icon didn't appeared back and the call came back to the phone (that is inconvenient when you drive and the phone in your pocket)

I have made the upgrade most of the O/S and .244 is the "FIRST" O/S that is able to keep the call in the car kit (Solid bluetooth icon with no drops in a week)

Well, I had one strange phenomenon occur: After loading .247 this past weekend, I couldn't get my Bold to play music through either the car stereo or my headphones. I reloaded .216, and it started working fine again. I was afraid I had a hardware issue, but it appears to have been the OS version. I wonder if anyone else has experienced this.

I have .167, is there really a purpose to upgrade the OS? What are the benefits.

I also have BES that I use for my work Lotus notes, will I have to have my IT department set my phone back up to receive emails?

Dave, I too have the .167 on my bold and I'm not going to upgrade until ATT throws an official update out for the bold.

Personally, I do not see anything "lacking" on the V.167. I've read more about folks rolling back rather than keeping the upgrade they went through.

I have not had any problems reinitializing on my BES connection, by following the procedure at the start of the thread, but I use desktop manager 4.6 (instead of loader.exe) and have the desktop manager installed on my work computer.

I used .167 briefly (it was my third OS), but found it used much more memory than other OSs. Later OSs, provide better 3G support, faster acquisition of signals, better browser, in my opinion.
