I have exactly the same issue. On my way walking out to get my car in the garage, I installed this app, it said successfully installed but couldnt be dismissed, did a battery pull and same thing - software security window stucked on the main screen.

The phone was basically just useless besides receiving calls. nothing else.

So, I was basically just bored to death without my phone at a party for the whole day. Came home couple minutes ago, right away I pull out my Desktop Manager to uninstall it, and now it is back to normal. Thank God.

testing - is there something wrong with the site? I post a post and I couldnt see it here in this thread. But when I was on the main page, I see I have a post posted at 2.23 under my name.

edit: now, I can see this post but the post that I posted before this is gone. I even check if it is on second page but nothing.

Mod, do you have any idea?

Edit Edit: now i see my post above, weird, nvm then.

Sorry! It's a 8100 Pearl.

Interesting. I loaded it on my TMo Pearl with no issue. But, obviously, you aren't the only one to have the issue.

Any one else had this happen yet???

Installed program on my 8830. Evey time I get a call my syetem crashes and I have to restart. As soon as I disable the program everything is fine. If I reactivate the program it crashes again.

Anyone else have this happen to them?

Please send me event logs.

1. Clear your event log (ALT-LGLG)
2. Make a call to your BB from a # not in your address book
3. Let it ring a few times and make sure the city/state isn't showing
4. Go back to event log (ALT-LGLG)
5. "Copy Day's Contents"
6. Email to me (eric at pintsizedapps dot com)

I have a Verizon 8830 and while the program doesn't cause anything to freeze, it simply doesn't work as no cities are displayed - just the number the same way its always been

Same here (8100 though,) figured it was probably where I live and the area code.

I tried to call my cell phone from my desktop. It worked ok. I am waiting for the developer to add the Exchange in the database as well.

I noticed area code 949 is set to show "Irvine". However, I know this specific number is from Lake Forest.

What does this website return when you enter the areacode *and* exchange?

JCSM Lookup ACX

It works for me -- my area is '415' and covers: San Francisco, Novato, San Rafael, Mill Valley, San Anselmo, Larkspur, Corte Madera, Tiburon, Sausalito and Fairfax. If I enter a known SF exchange (297) it returns correctly, and if I enter a known Mill Valley exchange (381) it also returns correctly.

I think the author (bberic) needs to implement exchange code support as well.
yes, the incoming excahnge that the program displays is like 4 towns over - not the correct town

OK folks. I believe the issue has been located. Please send me a PM if you want to test 1.0.15 (beta).

I will most likely make it available in the morning. Looking for 1st 5-10 responses. Please note carrier, phone, and version of BB software.
