Question SEND Key from Home Screen Produces No Menu

Please Login to Remove!

New to Bold 9650 and this forum. Trying to use shortcuts.

Manual for many shortcuts says to press SEND Key from HOME Screen. That action should produce a menu with choices. When I follow that instruction, I my contact list appears instead.

Ive searched the forum but didn't find anything regarding this problem.

Any help appreciated. Thx.

I have never heard of pressing the Phone/Send key to get a menu of options. Are you sure that you are reading the manual correctly?

Can't imagine what OP read or was told.

On 9700/5.0.0.714, pressing the green phone key opens the phone app. Pressing and holding an extra moment opens the address book.

And as already mentioned, the button with botton with the BlackBerry logo to the left of the trackball/trackpad opens menus.

This is why I love this site - tried this on my 9650 and it worked. Never knew it would do that - I always just went to "Contacts".
