Default OS 9630: 5.0.0.674/5.0.0.419 (Mulilanguage)

Please Login to Remove!

Software For BlackBerry® Tour (TM) 9630 smartphone
BlackBerry Handheld Software v5.0.0.674 (Multilanguage)
This is for the 9630 Tour, and will install to any carrier's Tour by following the instructions below.

Package Version: 5.0.0.674
Consisting of:

* Applications: 5.0.0.419
* Software Platform: 4.2.0.179
* File name: 9630AMEA_PBr5.0.0_rel674_PL4.2.0.179_A5.0.0.419_MT S_Mobility.exe
* File size: 100.96MB
* Published Date: 01/18/2010

https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...027FA84709689E

Instructions for installing either version on ANY carrier's 9630:
1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device.

I'm running leaked 5.0.0.419 os and so far the only app issue I've had is with QuickPull. I assume the same issue will exist with this but I'm gonna install just the same and see what happens.

Right... because it's the exact same version you're already running.

Be careful of any themes you have installed with 4.7 - they most likely will not work when you upgrade (and cause weird errors). I had to remove a [free] theme I was using before my device quit throwing up.

Oh, and my BBM Groups (I have BBM v5.0.0.57) didn't get brought over. I got all my individual contacts, but had to be re-invited to the groups. Probably something I did wrong.

You had the same issue the last time you loaded this OS build. I see the Beta is an official which tells me we may see other Tour official OS from other carriers.

Just before the Storm 2 came out, we began to see official 5.0 Storm 1 builds. My sense is the Tour 2 is closer than we think.

So how different is this from the leaked .419? The platform and app version numbers are the same as the leaked OS...

It's not different at all, except for the fact that a wireless carrier has now officially approved it and is distributing it.

I just downloaded QuickPull Pro v3 for OS 5.0+. I had originally purchased the version for 4.7. This new one works just fine!

If you're an MTS Mobility subscriber, and you're using an MTS Mobility branded 9630... I would imagine so.
Otherwise... no.
