I've been using Ubertwitter for about a week now. Really like it!! If you close out of it, it definitely doesn't drain the battery, but if you leave it running in the background, it will drain the battery pretty quickly. Definitely has far better features than TinyTwitter and TwitterBerry.

Configuration options show:

o Auto Network
o Direct TCP
o MDS

Mine is set to auto, so it will switch between Direct TCP and MDS.

Yea - I know. I have tried every possible setting set all permissions to allow and everything else I could think of but can not get the app to make a connection. I can not even provide feedback to notify them of the errors...

Wirelessly posted

I just tried everything again and no dice. I did a little looking around and found that it does use the APN settings.

I tried Tiny Twitter and had the same problems.
TwitterBerry works but it does not provide ane features that I can not access by just logging on to the website.

I guess I have just been bitten by Centennial again :/

I've just uninstalled this. I can't cope with the battery drain. Even when I exit the app, it drains my battery (this MIGHT be a consequence of running it on Beta 5 OS, but either way, I can't take it any more!)

I uninstalled and quit using Twitter altogether. Just failed to see the point in it.

Default Feedback and Initial assessment.

I like this app! It's generally fast.

I'm actually testing an update with a picture from my storm. It uploads to mypict.me (I don't have sufficient post count to show the whole link) with a unique link. Only complaint, I would like an option to upload to TwitPic. Doesn't degrade the utility of this application, but it would be nice. I don't see a way to "manage" the uploaded photos. Like, if I needed to take one down. How would I manage that?

Also, I did see initially that there was some difficulty get my @mentions to show. I waited a few minutes and retried. It worked. Initially I was getting an "unspecified error." It's good to go now.

I'm going to give it 24 hours, but, it seems I will be getting rid of TwitterBerry. I'm almost in love with ubertwitter.

Same problem for me. I believe MDS won't work because BIS doesn't support it. Can anyone confirm that?

My bets are on UberTwitter I've noticed my battery drain a bit more then usual.

Hopefully future versions will be easier on the battery.

I am getting the same error. I have tried everything and nothing seems to fix the problem. I also can't find support for this application.

And FWIW, I see the drain on my battery - but I am unsure if it's because of Ubertwitter or if it's the Viigo effect - because I have Ubertwitter on my phone, I find myself playing with my phone more frequently... I'm sure, at least in my case, it's a bit of both.
