Hopefully somebody can help me figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I just got an unlocked 7105T from an online vender and am currently using it with T-Mobile.

I have been trying to install BB messenger & the Facebook app without success.

First I went to blackberry.com/messanger followed the links and got the error message that I need to download the app using the mobile site. I went on the phone to blackberry.com/messanger followed the links, and goto part of the site which stated I need to select which language I wanted to download. However there are no links to choose from.

I did the the same thing with the Facebook App (first tried from my compter and then from the phones browser). Also did not have an option to choose language I wanted to download.

I was able to download Opera Mini using the phones browser, so I can download apps OTA.

Any ideas? Thank you so much in advance

My 7105t has BB Messenger in the Applications folder. It's a core service and should be there, unless you have an old IT Policy on the device that prevents it.

I don't think Facebook is supported on the 7105t. I only see it for the Curve, Pearl(s), 8800, Bold, and Storm. Your only option on the 7105t would be to use the web browser and access Facebook online.

Hmmm it is not already there. The only messanger program it cam with was the one for AIM/MSN/Yahoo/ICQ. I tried updating the software a few days ago, its running 4.10.377, which I downloaded from the T-Mobile support page. I tried to going to the BB Desktop Manager and tried to add it back on, no luck the messanger is not there.


I am not currently using the phone on an enterprise server, the phone is for personal use. Is there a way to still update the IT Policy?

Okay so there was a IT policy in effect on the device, which I was able to remove. Still no luck with blackberry.com/messenger or going through the BB Desktop Manager.

Is there a way to do a full reset? Would that help?

Alright I got it work. Just in case anyone else has this issue...

Removed IT Policy, performed hard reset, browser disappered removed Jave plug in from browser using the BB desktop Manager, reinstalled. The Tmo download fun browser and the origanal BB browser showed up. Used the BB browser to install BB Messanger.

Worked like a charm
