I have signed up for this service... and am having very good luck with it. Nice Work!

Something that just dawned upon me though...

I currently have it setup to sync my Outlook Calendar one way into my Server Calendar. Then, I have it setup to sync the Server Calendar one way into my BlackBerry Calendar. I do this because I only want to control my Calendar from Outlook at this point. But... I have my email being received in both Outlook and BlackBerry. Currently, when someone emails me an invite... I accept it in Outlook... and wish Outlook to eventually sync it to my BlackBerry. However, the invite somehow gets auto accepted on my BlackBerry as well. I've seen duplications occur because of this. Is there a way to ignore invites on the BlackBerry... so everything has to come from the sync?

Take care.

Good morning,

I think the best way to address the questions is to address by userid. I hope this is OK with everyone.

To cmhobbz -->Unfortunately, there is no way to do this just yet - I will add it for the development team however. We are pretty good with duplicates - just like BES sometimes even, it happens. It's just a matter of finding out why and fixing the code. It's been a battle here, but we're pretty good about it now.

To teamcrn -->could you pls. send me an email. We'll get this squared away - it's highly unusual and should not be happening. Let's find out why.

Thanks everyone,
Vincent L.

A note regarding the calendar question earlier:

I spoke with our engineers and this is actually an issue with Blackberrys. They will automatically
accept any ICS (Outlook style) invitations that are sent to them. With the calendar sync system you
have set up, the Blackberry issue can cause issues by adding the event even if you didnxxx8217;t mean to.
This is a known Blackberry issue, but I do not think that they have plans fix this in the near future.

I hope this helps and if you have any further questions just let me know.

I have this problem every single time I upgrade the OS on my 8320 with the SyncJe client, I'm guessing they (sync clients) use the same coding/API mechanism; they basically lose "sync anchors" somehow. Here's how I now address the issue to just make it work (note: didn't happen on my Pearl 8100, guessing it's an OS bug on the 8320):

Back up your device first! (read that again - go back up your device as normal)

1) using the desktop manager set up to sync your calendar to a comma separated file in Export mode (not Import or Sync)

2) sync your calendar, the above file from #1 will be populated with data (open it in notepad and check)

3) on your device, place the Calendar into Agenda view (list view), highlight the very last Date bar (not a calendar entry, the date bar above your last entry) and Menu -> Delete Prior. This erases your calendar on the device. Clean up any stray items left over by hand (delete).

4) run the sync tool and make sure it's "clean".

5) using the Desktop Manager sync, change the Calendar from Export to Import, and re-import your calendar from the file created in step #1

6) sync your calendar using the tool, should push everything up to the server

NOTE: Step #1 only exports current and future calendar entries, and does not preserve past entries - they will be lost. At first this bugged me, now I just deal with it and go on with life.

I'm kind of confused. Do you have to use the @thinkpost.net email? And what sort of security is there. I have some pretty sensitive info in my note pad.

Hi i am with Rogers in Canada and currently using the Personal BB email plan (unlimted email, no data, BIS only). I would like to use your service but would like to know if it'll work since you said your program goes through TCP.

Thanks!

Hello there,

If someone knows, pls. update. My way of thinking is: It's $2...why not give it a shot? For both our sakes, I hope it works - but don't want to put out misinformation...

Just so I can get this straight

You download a plug in to outlook which will sync with thinkpost which will then sync with a blackberry? What needs to be downloaded to the blackberry? Will it affect my other email accounts such as yahoo and gmail?

Good evening,

Thanks for the msg. Correct - one for Outlook, one for Blackberry. That's all - a program for each. Thank you!
