It used to do a password lock. Now it only does keypad lock.

If you want password lock, either you let it time out with the setting you enter in options >password, or you use the lock icon or, if you disable "dial from home screen" you can use the K key.

when i run the loader, it loads and everything but i dont see, in the list of applications, the new OS that will be installed? Then I click next and it loads super fast and is over within a second. My phone restarts and nothing has changed, I dont even have the new threaded sms :S

Default Missing Apps

I did this upgrade and it seems not nearly as buggy as previous 5.x releases, so far. For some reason it deleted some of my games but left word mole and brickbreaker. My Solitaire, Texas Hold 'em and Sudoku were all deleted. They are not in the app loader but were there before I installed the release and are no longer in the app loader went I went back to re-install.

The only real bug I noticed before the update was that after reboots of the bberry my Visual Voice Mail kept duplicating messages. Some messages had 3 or 4 copies before I had to go manually delete them. Hope this release fixed that.

For the most part it's working pretty well for me. I'm not sure if it's a particular app that is causing it, but my phone seems to freeze every now and then.

Same for me - no Sudoku. I guess it's due to BlackberryApps? Now we have to pay for it (the free Sudoku seems very "lite").

Just installed tonight on T-Mobile 8900 and it went flawless. Everything is working good, No issues with UMA. I got Visual Voicemail up and running. The only complaint I have is the sound volume is a bit lower that 4.6.231 but its a small price to pay for all the gains. Its like a brand new device

I followed the instructions as usual. I have a Javelin with 507 error. It gets stuck at Loading Module "net_rim_platformapps_resourse_en_us.cod" I will leave it over night and then post the results. it is about 3:15 am now.

Did you try wiping with JL commander? I used loader.exe to install mine, DM wouldn't find the OS

yes I wiped it with JL commander and used loader.exe to install. The earlier versions of 4.6 all disconnect at this stage, 5.0 still freezes unless I disconnect manually. Is there another software that I could use to wipe.

That sucks, I don't know of another wipe program other than JL. Did you try re downlaoding OS and reinstalling it?
