Anyone find that it takes 5 minutes or more to get GPS to find your location? It is worse on Google Maps but it is also much slower on bbmaps after the upgrade.

I now understand that 4.6.1.133 is the new "official" Tmobile lastest OS for the 8900. Can anyone verify that? I am getting mine soon and would only upgrade if Tmob has endorsed .133. Otherwise I'll use it and wait. thanks

.114 is the latest T-Mobile release, if they make .133 official for them then I'd guess they're going to do that this week sometime or shortly in the future. I'd say screw their "blessing" on it and go ahead and load the version that makes the device perform the best. Besides, if you have problems, there is nothing keeping you from rolling back to a T-Mobile sanctioned release.

Also, I am not 100% sure the sleep issue (magnet in a pouch or such) is caused by a key being held down. I took a large magnet and placed it on my keyboard (By the c and v keys) and left it for a few hours on my desk. When I placed the magnet on it, it had 85% battery. No phone calls came in, a few emails and text messages did, and I checked it a few hours later and the battery was at 50%.

Doesn't seem right to me at all, so I've been keeping it away from my plastic holster and anything that induces the sleeper. That was on .133, and I haven't tested it yet with .152.

i'm a couple days late but the upgrade makes my ringtone louder than my cat can handle. very nice. hope this makes the battery last a hair longer like some mentioned.

So far so good on the update. Unbelievably fast. The only issue I had was the DocToGo going back to the old version, but I didn't read the FAQ on how to avoid that.

All I need now is my Seidio Innocase to arrive and I'm golden!

I had the .96 firmware from Rogers... never tried it for more than a few hours before immediately upgrading to this version 133... it's awesome... but can't compare with the original.

The upgrade took about 5-10 min (froze for a bit, kinda scary) and my BB lasted my whole day of almost straight usage with data and everything... good stuff.

Thanks OP.

Red face I give up!

Well I did all that and the loader.exe does nothing (no new updates)
The DM shows the new OS but then says the same thing. I've uninstalled, reinstalled the OS to my PC I've gone several times to delete the Vender file and checking to make sure it was gone, but to no avail. I give up!
I'm at at lost here. My current version is 4.6.1.114
It shows both in the DM. What now??? Any help would be cool.

Well I've installed v4.6.1.168 instead and all is well except the mail noitfy icon will not go away, and it drags a little when picking the ring tones.
