Upgraded my 7100t with no problems. The only thing is, the fonts seem a little different...maybe bigger...on the calendar, and a few other screens such as remote desktop...however, they are correct in the messages screen. If I change the font to correct them in the calendar, they are wrong on the messages screen.

just curious as to how long the upgrade process takes. mine has been in the final "connecting to handheald" phase for what seems like an eternity.

thanks!

That does take a worrying length of time.

Yes I did, thank you. I didn't realise it wasn't from a 7290, only the 7700. I guess I'll have to pull it from Cingular's install.

Cingular has it for all their handhelds.

No they haven't. The 7230 code is 4.0.0.220; there is no new code for the older BBs.

That's really weird, last night there was a link in the drop down to 7200 series aside from the 7230 link, and a link in the drop down for 7700 series aside from the 7780. I have downloaded both of those as well as for the 7290 and 7100. Any idea why they pulled the links?

There was also a link in the drop down for 6700, 6200, and 5800 series which I did not download. The files I downloaded had "cingular" at the end of the filename just like the 7290 and 7100 versions. They were listed in addition to the others, so it looked like BlackBerry 6700 Series Wireless Handheld. Very strange...

Does anyone else get "Invalid Phone number." when you press and hold the 1 key on the 7100t after the upgrade?

My VM number didn't change and it is +18056377243

The links are still there; just no new code. T-Mobile's latest version for the 7230 is 4.0.0.185. Cingular's is 4.0.0.220.

This is consistent with what I've been told that only the 7100 and 7290 were getting updates.

The links I saw last night are not there. How else could I have the latest code for the 7230 and 7780? I believe you were misinformed.

If you look you will notice that the 6210, 6280, and 6710 (16MB) have the latest code released for them. Somebody messed up when they recoded the website to not put the latest in for the 7200 and 7700 series.

WHich do not support 4.0 at all. 3.6 is the highest for them.

That is correct. However, I was right that the new code was released for all current handhelds.

Unhappy Where is the Email Setup Icon?

Upgraded without errors, but the Email setup Icon is missing. I followed the instructions, but there is no icon in the home screen or under applications (yes I check that it is not hidden). Also went to the My T-Mobile site but I could not find the link to setup the BB Internet Email.

This was working fine before the update.

- Resolved reboot issue when downloading large websites
- Resolved issue with high pitch sound on the phone
- Support 1900 and 1800 mhz
- Allows roaming on 1.9 platform (not quite sure if got the description right)
Are 1900 and 1800mhz widely used in the US or is this more for overseas? I don't know much about the spectrums.

Before it dissapears, quickly use your BB Client login (PC), and request sending of the two service books that are available. That will install the E-mail setup icon.
