Default Where can I get a new OEM Peal Housing?

Please Login to Remove!

I need a new one. 4 days into a new Pearl (Blackberry even) I pull it of a buddies bag out and theres a HUGE 3/4 inch scratch on it.

Phone is perfect... however it's pretty annoying looking at this thing.

Hopefully it won't cost me much... I need to really get one of those skins on here.

Thanks guys.

You might want to try this product here: Displex - HOME

Can be bought at different places (online) and works by slightly dissolving the plastic. Then some polishing action can get rid of scratches.

You could try buying a display, or dummy phone on eBay. They have the exact same housing. Did you need to replace the screen or the plastic?

FYI, someone on this forum found out this does not work. For one the housings are glued together, on top of that I dont think they have the same structure inside as the dummy phones have lead weights to make them feel like the actual phone.

cnn.cn has a listing for 8100's but does not have anything up yet. They should soon. Other than them you are out of luck, I dont think anyone is selling the housings.

I used a metal polish on my ipod screen before. You can get it at any supermarket. Its called "brasso", works wonders. Just get yourself a couple lint free cloths and make small circular motions.

EDIT

Just noticed this thread was dug up from over a year ago... Oh well, maybe this will still help someone...
