Default 8900 freezed problem

Please Login to Remove!

my phone was used for 3 years without any problems but after it was update the OS 5 - 1626, it has be occational freezed automatic and it can not be restarted the OS by itself after freezing (I tried to take off the battery and put it back to restart the phone, but it will come out either all white screen or sometimes it show black screen). It has to be connected to the PC desktop software to resume the OS.

I do know how to solve this issue. This problem really makes me sick, because the phone was freezed when I am outside while the phone can not be used at all till I am back.

Can someone help me to solve this problem?

thank you very much.

You might want to check if your battery is alright. After it switches off/white screen do you need to plug it in to boot it up - I had this problem and had to change my battery. One test is to remove your battery and check if it is bulging on one side. (in fact you should be able to spin it like a top)

hello there

I also had the same problem like my bb 8900 freezes and call get dropped. If the phone is idle it shows normal screen. Once I receive or make call, within next 3-4 minutes it would give disturbance and then would freeze. Once I plugged it to charger it starts. As per your information I checked my battery and it is bulged on both the sides. I can actually make i spin on table.

has the battery arrived to the end of designed life? if that is the case please let me know from where to get authentic battery.

Any help is appreciated
