Default 8310 Factory Restore

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum, so I'm not sure if this is even in the right place.

I have a BlackBerry 8310
v4.5.0.174 (platform 2.7.0.105)

I was wondering how I delete my email account on my BlackBerry 8310 without any data/wi-fi. I recently switched service providers and completely forgot to delete my email account on the phone. Is this even possible to do without data?

Also, how can I restore the phone to the factory settings? I've read online about the wipe handheld option, but when I follow the directions to get to it, I am not given that option. The only option I have is "close."

You can clear all user data and settings with a security wipe (find security options and you will see security wipe either on the screen or in the menu).

If you are talking about your BIS account, call your previous carrier and explain the situation and find out if you need to remove the BlackBerry from the BIS service, or if that has already been done. If it needs to be done, they can do it.

But neither of the previous solutions will delete the IMEI/ESN and PIN from BIS.

Rambo's advice on calling the previous carrier is what you need to do to do that.
