[Two Mike Romeo]

This morning I upgraded to 4.5.0.56 on my 8130. Everything is running fine, but I noticed a problem when I was trying to hide/move icons on my home screen. When I push the menu (blackberry) button, the menu pops up, but closes within 2 seconds. If I am in the middle of an operation (moving or hiding, etc), the operation is canceled.

This is the only place (so far) that I have found it to be a problem - the menus stay open in all other applications that I have tried.

I have tried other themes Dimension Icon, Dimension Today Plus. Dimension L, Dimension Today, Dimension Zen and Verizon to no avail.

I have been following problems with the 4.5 betas and rearranging of icons, but I did not see anything similar to this.

It's not a huge problem, just an annoyance.

That's not one that I've heard of either. I know that .66 does not have that problem (at least on a Sprint 8130).

Sounds irritating, to say the least. I like to move my icons all over the place (and even hide a bunch in folders). Not being able to do so would make me...well...swear.

This sounds like a real bummer.

Just off the top you might want to delete some of the themes you have installed. Today plus has known issues in 4.5. Trust me I have tried and tried to make it work!! But it just doesn't. Try deleting all the themes except those that come with 4.5 or are specifically made for 4.5. I have found that they can cause weird problems.

Also do you have any other 3rd party apps running that you had in older OS's? If so you might want to delete them to see if that helps and then reinstall them one at a time to see if the problem returns so thou can identify the offending app.

The fleeting menu issue is gone with 4.5.0.66 and so has the swearing as juwaack68 eluded to.

I have yet to explore the system to see if there are any other GOTCHAS in this version of the OS...
