WeatherBug Direct is working pretty good for me. See here for a discussion: http://www.blackberryforums.com/afte...ther-apps.html

WeatherBug Direct and WeatherEye are pretty popular apps that provide Home screen icons.

I like WeatherBug Direct, been using it for months, 1 icon for the Temp and 1 for the current forecast plus it has an animated radar, and weather alerts which is nice.

Smile can not delete the Browser Push Message

Hi Guys,

I am new to this forum, so I aint sure, how this works.

I actually subscribed to Browser push message service for weather.

I got a globe shape message icon on my home screen. Been trying to delete but I cant. Even unsubscribed to the browser push service but don't have any clue how to delete that icon.

So could anyone tell me how to delete that from my home screen ?

Will be obliged

Thanks

Bobby

Go into your browser and then look under your bookmarks. The link should be listed there. The icon will go away when you delete it.

Add Google to your contacts/address book --- 466453
and send a text with the word Weather. Google will text you back with the current weather in your area.
You can use this service to get other information as well, e.g., football scores.
Good luck.

I thought I did that once and it came back to me somehow. I have two push weathers by mistake. Weather Channel and Acuweather 1 is enough.

For those that would like to know:

WeatherBug - Subscription based = not free. It does have more features than WeatherEye so if you NEED more info go with WeatherBug.
3 Month Subscription = $11.99
1 Year Subscription = $39.99

WeatherEye - Free. Is a basic (but cool) weather app that will provide most with the necessities (current weather, forcast and current temp. on your homescreen) that they require .......... like me.

While I do like the extra features of WeatherBug, it is not worth paying the above prices as I do not NEED those features.

But, WeatherBug Direct for BlackBerry live local weather plus live temperature and local forecasts direct to your BlackBerry, is FREE.
