tried installing opera mini on pearl, gets halfway through install and says Failed to connect to internet. Is this a setting problem or something else?

So it errors out download during the install or is it installed and wont connect?

I have a 8100 too.
I installed it without problems: remember that if you want to use it you have to set APN according to your provider.

If you have tmobile go to options/advanced options/tcp and set APN to wap.voicestream.com ,leave username and password blank. Save changes and restart opera. Look for APN settings for your carrier if you dont have tmobile.might be on these forums somewhere.good luck


Edit: Didn't see your carrier while posting this. You can call and ask CinC Bell for their APN.

For Cincinnati Bell, set your APN to wap.gocbw.com. Leave Username and Password blank.

also, what firmware are you running? this is a pretty common problem. even myself, with the APN settings correct, I cannot install the newest Opera...but only after the upgrade. wtf.

I'm totally new to all this and this website has helped a ton. I have a T-Mobile BB 8100, and i've tried to install Opera 4 on it. I've changed the APN correctly, but I still get the failed to connect to the internet message. I have version 4.2.1.109 if that helps any. Some one please point me to the right direction
