Australia (Telstra CountryWide) probably has the best CDMA network outside of North America. It is probably the only network in Asia you will be able to roam to in Asia (although the deal to do so is apparently not completely in place yet).
India has a reasonable CDMA network as well.
There are several other CDMA networks out there, but quite frankly they are not very good compared to the GSM/GPRS alternatives in the specific country.
And although South Korea has CDMA it is not the same standard as the NA CDMA so you can't roam your Verizon or Sprint device there anyway. They are their own little pocket of non-compatibility just like Japan
