Hi,

I am looking for free themes that I can download and install on to my blackberry curve. This is my first blackberry but i am pretty good and doing stuff on it. And I do not really like the theme that came with it and i thought this would be the right place to ask about free themes for download. I do not pornographic content want anything with in it tho.

Besides performing a search for the forums here for themes for your device you could also look at crackberry. They have good developers over there too.

or check out:

coolblackberrythemes.com

click on the "8520/8530 themes" link on the left and you can choose to categorize by free themes also.

OR if you don't like any of those I would be more than happy to make you a custom theme myself. Plenty of options.

Well I checked out the coolberry site found a theme but its not quite right just yet.

Here is the link of the theme "BMW 8520/8530 Bottom Dock OS 5.0 Blackberry Theme for 8520/8530 | Transportation | Cool Blackberry Themes"

As you said you could make custome themes as well. and here is the type of picture i would like you to switch into it if that is possible.



Now you can also go online and find more pictures like this one and use it in the theme but i would also like that one as part of the theme please... i tried to post the link to the theme but it wouldn't let me post it

Alright let me take a look at the theme and I will see what I can do. Which OS are you running? If you dont know and also don't know how to find that:

- On your BlackBerry navigate to Options and click with trackball or touchscreen.

- In Options navigate to About and click or touch.

- In About you'll see your software version on the third line.

Well, this is pretty quick, but if you are running OS5 (which I think you are?) this should work out fine. If you want me to change anything in the pictures just comment and I'll tell you if I can. I created a vignette effect with the background picture, I personally love the look of it like that. I can also manipulate the 6 homescreen icons so that the one that has focus will move a little bit higher than the rest, I can do some other things with them too. Just let me know. Screens are attached.

Alright it should work for any version of OS5. Thoughts on the screens?

For anyone who reads this post and would like the theme, here is the OTA Link:

Just go to that link on your mobile phone browser and then select the Download link when the page finishes loading. Once again, this is for a Curve 8500 series phone running OS 5.X.
