The ttile of this already giving away the purpose of this thread.

I am stuck in the thought of upgrading my 8700r to a 8900 or a 8310.
I saw the 8900 the othe rday and thought it was just a smaller Bold and didn't know if it would have the same bugs as the Bold.

I've b een looking for a unlocked Curve for about 2 months now, and decided I rather just upgrade off of the retailer because I couldn't find any decent listings.

Somethings that I like about the 8900 is the size. Very compact and easily storageable inside a pocket and not much to be annoyed of it's shape. The only thing I don't like about it is the new connection that they have installed into it. Other than having the normal USB 2.0 connector just like the rest of the generations, what if that charger gets busted, or the cable connector to the computer gets wrecked, not knowing how much it would really cost for a replacement it sounds like a killer to me already.

The 8310, is pretty much the one that I have liked the most, yet still deciding what would I be more happy with. I haven't expressed any knowledge or research about comparing the two.

If you guys don't mind dividing the two in there own categories and showing what's the difference between them two, what are their similarites are and what do you think is the best for me.

Anyway, there is no real reason to buy an 8310 when the 8900 can do what it does and more.

I would also recommend the Curve 8900 as well. I think the micro USB connector is what newer devices will eventually move too. Plus, the hardware specifications for the Curve 8900 are much improved. Faster processor, more memory, better screen resolution, Wi-Fi AND GPS and a better camera. I am purchasing the Curve 8900 once it is available from T-Mobile. It is time my 8700g got an update.

Neat, I did not know that the 8900 had both the WiFi and GPS process', that gives me a big change in thinking from deciding if I should get the 8310 for the GPS, or the 8320 for the WiFi, two in one, sweet. I guess it's time for my 8700r to get an update as well!

The 8900 is the king of the Curve line, the fabled "Pappa Bear" model that includes Wifi, GPS, and camera. Back when the Curve 8300 debuted, the "Holy Trinity" of features was these three things in one device. It never came until the Javelin 8900. The 8330 CDMA Curve has them all but as a GSM user I don't count CDMA devices. The only reason I can see to get a lesser Curve like the 8310 or 8320 is if you can get a great price on one.

The 8330 doesn't have WiFi.
