Default Curve wont type letters just numbers

Please Login to Remove!
My BB Curve wont let me enter letters for my password just numbers.

It had the 123 sign in the top right hand corner.

How can I type letters as well as numbers?

Press and release the ALT key and that should let you type letters.

All else fails, with the device on, remove the battery for 30 seconds, replace it and let the device reboot.

Thank you, but I tried both of them numerous times and still not working.

Very frustrating.
