Default Recieved TODAY 7100t (was: New 7100t coming to me ...)

Please Login to Remove!

UPDATE: Recieved the 7100t a few minutes ago and just finished the tutorial - the predictive typing is impressive. The screen is very bright and sharp, everything is clean and easy to read.

First impression is that the design is AWESOME.

I will post more later.

OLD:
Just got off the phone with my T-Mobile regional manager and my order has been placed for the 7100t CHARM. Shipping 2 day - I should have it on Tues / Wed.

Feel free to ask any questions and I will answer them when the device arrives.

Jealous! Tell us about the web surfing experience and the IM client as all the press coverage folks said those apps weren't ready on their devices. Also, does it ship with 4.0?

3.8 software on the 7100 initially, it would have had to wait for 4.0 to be finished otherwise.

I can confirm that the pricing is $69.99/Month for 1000 Anytime minutes and unlimited blackberry

The phone is @299.00 with a $100 rebate

I will post my open box experience (immediate usage) and my 2 week re-visit (according to the tmobile rep it takes 2 weeks to get used to the new keyboard and predective text)

The OS is 3.8 (Confirmed)

I will also be testing the bluetooth with a headset, bluetooth synch and communication with my Ipaq (try to use it as a modem).

One of the main reasons I got it was the IM feature so I will be posting my review of the IM app.

Default Data and voice price...

I have read in numerous reviews that T-mobile is going to have a data and 1000 min voice plan for $59.99... I wonder if that will only start when the new 7100t is finally released like the new sidekick plan for $20 as opposed to the previous $29.99. It was only available once the sidekick 2 was released. I hope so... That was what made this deal so nice is that for $200 I could get a great phone and unlimited internet for the same price I was paying per month now. Thanks for any insight.

Its seems to be a lot less than that if you avoid a normal blackberry or texting on a phone while you get used to it.

Its headsets etc only.

I was wondering if anyone know if you will be able to set individual ringtones for different contacts on the 7100t? Also is this available now on the current blackberrys.
Thanks

With T-mo there is no price difference for a bes or a non-bes user. If you don't have access to a bes then the bwc is a free option available, but you don't get a discount for not needing it...

So have you received it yet? One question I would like to have answered is if you can have distinctive ringtones (different ringtones for different contacts)

I am still waiting... I was told last night that it is shipping Tonight or Tommorrow overnight. As soon as they have them in hand they are shipping - I may have it a day before the Oct 1 release (which is different than I was told when I placed my order).

Actually there are going to be new BB prices. Starting at 5999 for 1000 minutes and unlimted BWC and Web Browsing, BES is 9.99 more. Don't ask me how, I don't know, we've got some shady tech practices going on (i.e. pretty much anything will work, but we tell the people it won't because we just haven't gotten around to a complete overhaul of the IP setup we've got). you'll probably be able to get BES email even on the lower rate plan, but most likely it's a specific port that's closed. Who knows, not I. Anyhoo, there are NEW RATE PLANS that drop the price for the Prosumer, but keep it just about the same for Enterprise cust. I'll post my experiences when I go home with my BB, either today or tomorrow. Peace.

I just place an order for the 7100 by calling their business order number 866-878-7222. It is shipping overnight so I should have it tomorrow. Price is $299.99 with $100.00 rebate. I had to pay an new account activation fee of $35.00 even though I am a current customer with a 7230 and combined voice and data plan. They required me to sing up for $39.95 data plan and told me I will have to call sutomer care once I get the phone to change over my services down to one set of services for the one phone (I told her I did not want to add a line to my account). I paid an additional $15.10 for overnight delivery. She said they had them in stock and gave me a confirmation number. She said I should get an email shortly with the tracking number once it ships. On a new 1 year agreement starting when the phone is activated. :D I will change to the new plan once I get the phone (assuming it is available).

Anyone want to buy a 4 month old sim unlocked 7230?

$250.00 and it is complete and in the original box. You will need your own SIM. I can accept PayPal as payment and you pay actual shipping via UPS any way you want it shipped.

My 7230 is locked but if any TMo users are thinking about a 6 month old BB mine is much cheaper. Read my post in the For Sale section.
