Default Locking app recommendations and experiences

I've seen many complaints here about the ease of accidentally unlocking a Torch. We have a trial one here, and every single person who has tried it has accidentally unlocked it and turned wireless off at least once. If we buy this phone for the whole company then we'll have to solve this problem.

I've seen mentions of 3rd party locking apps. Can anyone recommend a good one?

I've seen but not tried patternlock. This looks good, but I will have to get this going for dozens of users if we go with this phone. I'm concerned about the time it will take to configure it, and that users may set a "password" and forget it.

Is there a simpler lock app, and what can you do if they lock you out?

Is it possible to push out apps like this using BES, and have it preconfigured to the same simple "password" for everyone?

I use PatternLock which is excellent.

There are two versions - free(lite) and paid(full).
The lite version doesn't lock the home / call screen but the paid one does.
the paid version has a whole host of user confirguable options - well worth the £2.00 i paid for the app.

As said above, I use patternlock. It is by far the best.

+1 for Patternlock. I even upgraded to the pro when it was free on App World a short time ago. Well worth it even if not free.

Advanced Device Lock. It only needs one digit for the password.

I had a 9000 and had to stay below a certain OS version to keep from getting screwed by that ridiculous lock button. RIM is seriously deficient in not recognizing how stupid that feature is. One button, placed on edge and easy to hit, used to turn off the feature that prevents inadvertent button presses? Really? Somebody please defend that if as much is possible. I'm holding it wrong? Regardless, I use berryslider. The (4 digit) password is optional and you can set the app up so a battery pull, etc will get around it. It can also be set to lock automatically after various actions.

Hey I would like to recommend an app named secure my apps that allows you to share your device without having to worry about someone viewing your apps or accessing your personal photos, apps , text and e-mail. Plus, it protects your data from accidental deletion.Additionally, you can setup unique profiles and have them automatically start at a preset time. So you can keep your work and your personal life separate.Plus, you can lock both native Blackberry apps along with third party apps from the BlackBerry App World. Secure My Apps is now available in BlackBerry App World @ $2.99
