After months of working, reconcile stopped working

I have had a BB Enterprise server (Windows 2003 R2, Exchange Server 2003, BB Enterprise 4.1.4.2) with one phone attached for several months. It is a 4.1.4.2 server that has run flawlessly for at least 8 months. Whether it was my phone or Outlook, they were always completely in synch within seconds. Lately, it has not been reconciling correctly. I always get new e-mails on my device from the Exchange server, but the fact that I have read/deleted them is never reflected in Outlook or on the phone. If I restart the services, it will work for a while and then just stop reconciling. I have tried resending the IT policy to my device and resending the service book. The same thing happens ... it works for a few hours and then stops reconciling.
I have made no changes to the server aside from regular critical Microsoft updates.
Has anyone else had any issues? I depend on this thing and it is driving me nuts.
