Default How do I Delete the pre-installed video?

Please Login to Remove!

I'd like to delete the 2MB video that comes with the Pearl. When I go to the media player and select the video, there is no "delete" option. When I go to the BB Desktop and pull up the Media app, it doesn't show the built in video.

Any advice?

Connect and go to the BB Desktop Manager. Application loader. Uncheck the Sample Video (and anything else you don't want, maybe the languages?). Then you can synch it and it should be gone to free up memory.

Hi TheBigNewt, when I connect my Pearl and open DM, go to Application Loader I don't see anything other than 2 programs that I installed in my Pearl (Berry 411 and Texas Hold'em). Any ideas?

Thanks

Yeah, the .64 OS from tmobile. Does that make a difference? Maybe you can't access the stuff if you have the original software, I didn't think of that.

I didn't install anything other than the 2 programs that I mentioned. I don't know why I would have to download the OS, it came with the Pearl. Sorry, I'm confused.

In order to remove ANY programs that are on the Pearl, you have to use the Desktop Manager WITH the Handheld OS installed on your PC. That's the way it works. So, if you want to delete the video, or BB Messenger or something like that, you MUST download the Handheld OS and install it on your PC. Then use Application Loader to remove the video.

You don't have to. Sorry, I don't know how to delete the video if you have the original software. Maybe someone else can help.

You *do* have to download the OS if you want to remove anything from the BlackBerry.

AD - if this seems too complicated or you are concerned about messing up the BB, do not try this.

NJBlackBerry, thanks. I think I'll leave like it is, it really doesn't bother me, I just thought it would be nice to free up 2MB

Thanks again.

Hmm - where did I write this down - sorry; it is in 100 threads.

I will assume you are using T-Mobile.
Download the latest version of the handheld OS from T-Mobile at BlackBerry Upgrade
Execute the program you just downloaded
Restart Desktop Manager

Please note that if your BB is not at the current level, this will upgrade the OS on your BlackBerry.
