I have had the same password since I bought my BlackBerry Curve 9300 last year. Today it keeps telling me I am entering the wrong password. I checked very carefully and put in the password I always use. Now it has got to the final attempt and it warns that if I put in the 'wrong' password one more time all my information will be lost. I tried resetting the password via the website and it asked for my email address but it won't recognise that either. Any idea what I'm supposed to do next? The electronic 'guru' and they couldn't help but advised me to ring the help number. They couldn't help either but advised me to back everything up on computer and ask you guys. I tried to back everything up but it needs my password 'final attempt' or it will wipe everything...

Lets assume for a moment you're the real owner and the Blackberry is not stolen. The security of a Blackberry is designed to prevent exactly what your running into. Unless you know the password you cannot bypass the security. Once you reach the last attempt it will wipe all data on the phone and set it back to factory. Lets continue to assume you're the rightful owner. The phone should be able to continue and all you need to do is restore any apps you added in the past. Continuing to assume you're the owner and another person has not lost the phone and calls his or her carrier to block the phone all should be good to go. In the future you really should consider doing a backup.

Are you sure the keyboard is functioning properly. At times, if moisture enters the keyboard, other keys are pressed instead of those actually pressed physically.

Normally if watching the display you will see the character typed. Easy to detect a keyboard that is not giving the right key.

How about you connect that BlackBerry to Computer

you will be prompted to put password..

This way (if you r rightful owner) you cant make mistake typing password on computer keyboard.

The OP was online when I responded and I did notice he did not reply to any suggestions. Of course it's only an assumption that my assumption was speculation.
