Hi all,

So my blackberry bold 9780 got stolen about two week back. I did do a remote back up to my email for the bbm contacts aswell as all my internal storage stuff, I also backed it up on blackberry protect.

I then bought a blackberry curve 9360, I managed to restore all my other stuff via blackberry protect, but for some reason my bbm contacts won't restore? I go into the options, choose restore and choose my email address(the same email address I had on my bold 9780) and it says that the email address is not linked to any blackberry account?? I registered my previous phone as well as the curve with the same email.

My question is.. How can I restore my bbm contacts from my bb bold 9780 to my bb curve 9360? I never did a backup via desktop manager. I cannot restore from local memory.. Cause obviously my memory card was in the bb bold 9780 that got stolen.

Reading the info on Protect, it seems it should if you did a total backup. I would try again to restore and do a full restore. Once everything is back pull the battery to reset the phone and see if it shows the contacts. You can also selectively restore only some data. Make sure you did not select this option the last time. READ the instructions.
