Default Data still in place after Factory Reset?

Please Login to Remove!

So I did the factory reset using the Wipe Handheld choice under options. After it rebooted it still had the email data on it somewhere. When I went to add the new email account it somehow had held onto the email server account info I had entered BEFORE the reset. Is there a more throough factory reset than the Options>secuity>general setting>wipe method or is something else swry?

Thanks!

As long as you have an active BIS account, the email settings and service books will just get re-pushed to the handheld after the wipe.

Cancel your BIS account, or disassociate your handheld from it before doing the wipe.

Thanks for the reply! I think I did dissociate it first, will double check. By BIS went to Options, Settings, Email setting, then deleted the account. I "thought" i did this before the reset but maybe I didnt. Will try and report back. Thanks again.

You need to call your carrier and cancel your BlackBerry Data Plan. (Unfortunately, you won't be able to do that because you're with Verizon. They require the data plan.)
It's not something you do on the device itself.
