Default Holy cow...I need help to delete some BAD pics!

Please Login to Remove!

Hello!

I just got my Tour today and took some pics to send to my bf. You can imagine what kind of pics they are. Ha Well, I need to get them off my phone asap! I thought I deleted them right after but they're still there! I had been messing around with my phone pulling the memory card in and out and I don't know if that messed it up. (The memory card I'm currently dealing with is one I just pulled out of my enV3.) Initially when I went to delete the pics it would ask "Delete, or Cancel." I selected "Delete." The pics are still there. Now when I try to delete it is says "The selected file is read only. Are you sure you wish to delete the file? Yes or No" I hit yes but it won't delete.

Anybody has a clue as to what's going on here? Please help.

I have a Mac and it doesn't "see" my Tour, I don't know why...so I can't do it from my computer. I downloaded PocketMac (which I have no clue what it does) but that didn't help anything. My Macbook won't recognize my Tour period.

Overall:

1.) Does anyone know how to delete "read only" pictures?
2.) How do I get my Macbook to see my Tour?
3.) Is there a vocab list for Blackberry dummies out there? (I don't know what reconciliation, tethering, etc. means...words I've seeing on the forums.)

Thanks! Any help will be much appreciated!

Be patient-it does take a few minutes for the BlackBerry to "wake up" after you have done a bettery pull.

First things… first your BF is a lucky guy!
You should see your phone on your Mac. What you have to do is make sure your phone is enabled for Mass Storage mode.
If you have a password on your phone unlock the phone before you plug it in. Lots of times when you plug it in you won’t see the phone if it’s locked.
Now make sure it on, go to Options-Memory-Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode when connected… Change it to YES. I Have a Mac so you will see an Icon on your desk top that will say unnamed.
Now help with deleting pictures if you don’t care too much about all the pictures on your phone I would just delete all of them on your memory card. Here how…
From the home screen Options-Memory –Blackberry button-format- Media card. Again you need to understand that everything will be gone. Songs, pics, everything!
If the pic you want to delete is still there than it’s on your phone not the media card. You can see were the pic is at by opening up the pic to look at it hit the blackberry button go to properties and see the path.

Well if you need more help let me know. Good luck and it will take a little time but you will enjoy your phone.

Tour battery pull takes me 6+ minutes. It takes a hot minute, and I get the hourglass the entire time. Don't give up on that.

I posted earlier the battery pull took care of the read only pics prob. Well, I pulled out my card, put another one in, then put my first card back it. Those read only pics are still there! Geez! Scary! Will have to do another battery pull. I wonder if this is a card problem or a Tour problem. Once I find a way to back up my card (I don't have a access to a pc and my mac won't see my phone) I will try and reformat card and let you know how it goes.

Okay, I'll help you delete all of those pictures but first send them to [email address] so that I can verify the content is indeed worth of deletion... Just kidding.
