Default Can't get sent gmail on new Sprint Blackberry, but did on Verizon one

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone,

I hope this was the appropriate forum section. I put this here because I did not have this problem with Verizon but am with Sprint.

After nearly two months of unresolved issues with my account at Verizon, I just switched to Sprint, and got a Blackberry Curve 8330 just as I had at Verizon. I have four gmail accounts that I run through the phone. On the Verizon one, if I sent an email online or through Outlook, I got a copy of it on my Blackberry. With the Sprint one, I do not.

I have tried googling for a solution, but all I can find is people that don't want this to happen. For me, sometimes for work I need to forward a sent email to another person or confirm when an email was sent, so I need this to work as it did on my Verizon phone.

I called Sprint, and they told me to check the messaging options to make sure it's not hiding sent mail, but that's just for emails sent from the Blackberry itself, I need it to show emails sent from gmail or Outlook directly.

Can anyone help me please? I really appreciate it!

I looks like it was just a timing issue. BIS 2.6 was released this weekend and removed the sent message from being delivered.

This thread should go into more detail.

Wirelessly posted (My Bold)

You can look into the gmail app. It gives you access to all of your gmail folders. I'm not sure if you can do multiple accounts or not tho

Thank you so much for the quick reply. So it is just terribly unfortunate timing for me then. I read all the posts in that other forum, but I still have been unable to figure out how I get emails sent through gmail to show up on my Blackberry. All the posts in there were, as in my google searching, people who wanted that to stop. Should I post my question in there?

Login to your BIS account. click Edit at the right side of your GMail address. Fill AutoBCC field with your Gmail email address.

This is what Help says for that field:

When you specify an Auto BCC email address, the BlackBerry® Internet Service automatically forwards a copy of email messages that you send from your BlackBerry device to the email address that you specify.

Thank you! I will do that

argh, I did that and it didn't work. Using Outlook, I sent a test message from one of my gmail accounts to another one, so I should have then gotten the email twice on the Blackberry, but I only got the recipient email, not the sent one. So if I had sent it to another person, I'm still not getting a copy on the Blackberry. Did I do something wrong?

Specify different AutoBCC address, non-Gmail, and see if copy of sent email arrives there. If not, you are out of luck.
