Default Will Rogers Wireless unlock the Bold?

Please Login to Remove!

I heard that T-MObile and AT&T will unlock your Blackberry if you plan to travel, but has anyone had any luck with Rogers, trying to get an unlock code, only reason is that their Roaming fees are very expensive.

From what I have read here, Rogers does not unlock devices under any circumstance.

Actually, they do (or did) for a $300 fee. This was about 2 years ago when I wanted to unlock my Nokia E-62. It's way less hassle to just use a reputable unlocking site/company to do it for $10 or less now. I used Horizon Wireless myself.

Rogers will not unlock anything no matter how much you try

No one knows the unlock codes anyway

Question. I have been told that blackberries are unable to be "cracked" then I have also read that if you enter an incorrect code that it will wipe all data from the device. If all data is lost will the device now be unlocked? or have you just lost all your data?

You are talking about two different things.

If you enter the SIM unlock code incorrectly, the device is permanently locked to the network to which it was originally locked.

If you enter the password incorrectly a set number of times (in the case of my device, 3), then you will lose all personal data.
