i started a similar poll with regard to verizon's '3G' service for blackberry, and i wanted to start this one as well to get opinions about verizon's billing....

i had verizon once about 2.5 years ago, and i hated it. i don't remember details, but i do remember suprises/unexpected charges every once in a while. i do remember once i had received an outrageously large bill (about 4 times my standard monthly activity).

i am the type of phone user that knows my minutes/messages/etc. that are included in my plan, and i don't normally go over. at times when i do go over, it is not by a lot, about 10-20 bucks and not more than that.

in the past 2 years with tmo, i know in advance that my bill will go over when i have unusually heavy phone traffic in the month or call/sms overseas without going thru my calling card.

i'd like to hear some of your experiences, so i can make a decision on whether i'd want to switch to verizon this summer....

I have no problems whatsoever with Verizon's billing. We make sure we have enough minutes that we'll never go over, but you can also keep an eye on it by just logging into your account online.

I am thrilled. I get a monthly SMS and pay my bill.

The few times I have gone to the VZW store I have also been pulled aside for a rate plan assessment and have been offered alternatives to save me money.

It's well known I am a huge Verizon fan on here. The only complaint I have is their unwillingness to renew a contract in the middle of a current one. For me I see it only working in their favor by locking the customer into a longer commitment. But that's just me using common sense.

u must be really agitated or something....what did i do to you ?

forums are where ppl can go get ideas/opinions/advice. its why im posting here...

i'm a tmo customer using a blackberry storm, i'm not a verizon employee. since the phone i bought has a cdma radio, i thought i'd post the polls, to get opinions from others. because we all know what verizon would say if i went up to them and asked these questions.
