I am looking for a Tour for my gf, she needs it unlock and use it oversea
few questions i have, since the phone will be unlock.

1. is there a difference between Sprint and VZW Tour?

2. Is there any OS that support East Asia yet? or i have to use on of the method to enter the java file into the OS? http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...6-0-292-a.html

3. after reading few post about the trackball issue, just in case we got a bad unit, it seems like replacing the trackball, and update the OS will solve the problem. Is it correct?

Physically there isn't any difference, but they will have different coverage areas. Check coverage to be sure. They will roam on different networks, but they may not roam on the same networks in all places.

Not sure on the languages.....haven't had a need for them.

If the trackball is bad, you can try to lower the trackball sensitivity. Otherwise the device can be replaced under warranty. Not sure if the trackballs can be ordered yet....I could be wrong.

There are two differences, though only in looks. . . The Sprint tour has a satin bezel like the Bold, and the Verizon tour has a black chrome one. . . . Also, the battery door on the Sprint is gloss black, and Verizon's is that same rubber non slip as the sides.

Both have shaky battery doors.

Again, only real issue may be network coverage which may be in consequential if you live in a populous area
