Default Re Bold .245

@WorldIRC - your new toys are slowing you down.

@Rest-of-World - .244 was not the killer that many said it was. It installed clean (even on Windows 7) and the picture files were all ok. There was a bit of a lag at first but I suspect that this was the device re-organising things internally (perhaps even re-indexing pictures & media).

So - .244 was fine. .245 is probably to correct a spelling mistake somewhere.

My exact same thoughts and mind you that we didnt even give it more than 2 days of testing since .245 was leaked the following day.

This version has the same problem with the pictures as .244 has. I take a picture and it appends .rem at the end of the file name. And the thumbnails all show up really slow still as well.

.244 and .245 are poor releases! Stay with .237 or .241.

.244 was fine for the day I was using it. Just installing .245 right now and I suspect that it will be fine as well.

Did you take pictures and look at the format? It encrypts all new pictures no matter what your settings are. And it has a huge lag when opening your media files.

Did you try opening the pictures on your PC? They'll open just fine on the device, because it's what did the encryption. But I'll bet the files were saved as .jpg.rem files and cannot be opened on your PC.

It fixed the status text being cutoff at the edges (nice!) but now some of the menu text is obscured since it is the same colour as the background. The profiles selection specifically. The hover colour is fine though.

Wirelessly posted

Does the .rem really effect anything? I sent a picture to my suedo girlfriend/baby mama and she could see it just fine. And its not just pics you take. Pics you save from the internet are changed as well

I don't see any "visual voice mail" files in this release.

Wirelessly posted (9000)

With this os, it saves photos and even playlists with a .rem extension. Very weird.

Annoying enough to make me yearn for the next release.

I noticed that before I installed it. Probably because it's East Asia and the VVM is only for AT&T so far. I just copied the files from the .244 directory over to this one.

So this would be the first time I was unimpressed enough to downgrade. Went back to .241 which works quite well for me.
